Shoes!

So, after much debating I finally decided on the (drumroll please)....

METALLIC SPERRY!

I love them. They go well with (almost) everything. I finally went out and bought them because the weather was nice and warm, as in high 60s, for about a week. I thought Spring was finally on its way, but the day after I bought them we got hit with a few inches of snow! So they are sitting in my closet waiting for their Mizzou debut.

However, I can't be happy without a shoe dilemma. I decided to see whats the big deal with TOMS. Now, I'm not a late-comer. I've known about TOMS just as long as everyone else and I participated in the TOMS- 'Go a day without shoes' awareness event for the fifth time last year. However, I never got a pair because I thought they might look weird on my feet, but I've decided to take the plunge. I think I've decided on a glittery pair (but that is subject to change), but I can't decide between the gold and pink!

I first liked the pink, but then I thought why not get a gold pair for Mizzou games? Decisions, decisions... What does everyone think? Do you like TOMS? Are they durable? Leave your opinions in the comments!

Random Thoughts

I've had three exams this week so when they ended and finally had a moment with my thoughts, they were extremely random. Firstly, I started thinking about how much I used to love taking polaroid pictures. My first camera was the Barbie one below! I loved it and it was probably my second favorite present next to my Easy Bake Oven! I don't care if people say they're chauvinistic, I loved mine.

Which made me a little nostalgic for my favorite 'kid' drinks:
and my favorite current drink:
and therefore, tea:
which reminded me that my friend Lauren and I want to try and make macaroons this summer! I've never had them, but she says they're delicious and fortunately she is quite talented at French cooking. I'm counting on her to make up for my lack of expertise ;).

Don't these look yummy? Baking challenges, here I come!

P.S. Keep a look out, my school and blogger friend are starting a joint blog and we might be doing a post on favorite desserts!

Valentine's Day!

I was right! The boyfriend was sneaking around. Without me knowing, which I thought would be impossible, he got me these:

He did so well! Purple is my favorite color and I love tulips. He said he tried to get my favorite flowers, but I was just thrilled he got me anything! We didn't go out to dinner since we both had tests today, but it was still a great Valentine's Day.

I'm hoping to press the flowers since I don't think tulips and daisies will dry. Hopefully that turns out well. I also decided what I'm going to get him for his birthday (potentially) thats in April, but I can't say on here because he reads my blog!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Valentine's Dad/Best Roomie Ever

Well, its not actually Valentine's Day, but its Monday so all I can think about is...the color pink! Just kidding but sort of. The boyfriend and has been super sneaky lately so I think he's planning something. I thought I had it figured out, but I was wrong.

The Valentine's Day Fairy (AKA the Roomie) came last night and delivered this:

which turned out to be this:

They're tiny pots with forget-me-not flowers! Roomie and I put our monograms on them of course.

Last night I "helped" Roomie bake these yummy cupcakes and decorated (while I ate all the sprinkles) very festive to the holiday:

I wrapped Matt's present in the only bag I had, a Lilly via shop one. And I'm giving these cute little owl Valentine's to the BF, Roomie and Roomie's bf.

All pink outfits! I can't wait :)

Binder Clips!

So a few months ago The College Prepster (I'm sure anyone who reads my blog has heard of her) posted an amazing idea!
(These pictures are from her blog so I hope she doesn't mind me reposting them.)

She strung her power cords through binder clips so they wouldn't get tangled! I thought this was genius and was from then on hunting for cute binder clips like hers. Welllllll, the other day I finally found some at Hobby Lobby! Unfortunately my desk's edges are too thick to stick them on it, but I put them on the bottom of my bed, which is right by my desk. That worked out perfectly because I can use them from my bed and desk!

(Excuse the bad photo, its an iPhone pic!)

In addition to these purposes, I use the binder clips for everything since they're so cute!

I Want Summer!

Summer needs to hurry up and get here!

I want it to look like this outside my window:
This is my favorite vacation spot, Dauphin Island. My family used to go there every year in the summer.

But instead it looks like this:
This was the view from my window an hour after the snow started. We got two feet of snow and three days off school!

I want to be wearing this:

and this:

But instead I'm wearing this:

and this:

I want to be eating this:

and drinking this:

but instead I'm drinking this:

Summer please hurry...
